Women with Dreams, There is Funding For You

Reboot. Restart. Bounce-back.

This seems to be the go-to mindset to embody as the pandemic continues to challenge the economy, our communities, and the world as a whole. Mothers are now forced to work from home. Many women have experienced a loss of stable revenue and livelihood as each household presents a set of day-to-day realities and dynamics.

As mothers are contemplating to finally launch that online shop, e-service, or coaching program, working from home seems to be the direction our society is leaning towards.

The Minister of Small Business, Minister Ng announced that the Government of Canada will provide $15 million in additional funding to support women entrepreneurs through the Women Entrepreneurship Strategy.

This money will go directly to select organizations that are currently WES Ecosystem Fund recipients and will help women entrepreneurs through the COVID-19 pandemic.

This investment will help women entrepreneurs and business owners navigate this crisis. It will help ensure women across the country from different sectors i.e. health, beauty, fashion, restaurant, tech, etc. get the support they need through things like business workshops, mentorship, and skills training to adapt to a digital marketplace.
